The Bioarchaeology Respiratory Network
About us
Founded in 2021, we are a group of researchers who all have an interest in investigating the history and archaeology of respiratory disease in past populations. Although our research interests are varied, together we form an international group of collaborators, who work together to improve our approaches and understanding of past respiratory disease using varied and often interdisciplinary methods. This includes analyses of human skeletal remains and human dental calculus, historical research, medical research, and epidemiological modelling.

Together, we have organised symposiums, meetings and conference sessions to share our research and methods. We have also co-authored multiple collaborative papers together.
