We were recently invited to give a 'Mini Change Maker' session at the Leicester Botanical Gardens Festival; a chance to give a brief workshop that could teach local children something new and exciting about science! Despite having the difficult task of following Bake Off Finalist Dr Josh Smalley's 'make your own pizza' session (the room smelt tantalisingly like a pizzaria for the rest of the day!), myself and Dr Brian Costello used this an opportunity to introduce a new generation to the jigsaw-puzzling joys of osteology. The kids and their parents were tasked with racing the experts to piece back together a plastic skeleton and learn something new about anatomy in the process!
